Fire accident at Neyveli Thermal station in2 months 3rd accident - 6 killed



A fire broke out in the boiler at 5th unit of the second Thermal station at Neyveli NLC, Cuddalore district. In the fire, six NLC contact worker died on the spot.

Another 17 people were treated at the Neyveli Government Hospital with serious injuries. Meanwhile, Central Occupartional Security Force personnel and firefighters are continuing their resuce operations in the fire station.



Workers who died in the accident:

  • Padmanabhan - Melakkupam,

  • Venkatesha perumal - Kallamedu,

  • Silambarasan - The great savior,

  • Arun kumar - Kaluppuri,

  • Ramanathan - Atri Kuppan,

  • Nagaraj - Neyveli City.


Serious injuried person:

  • Ravichandran (43),

  • Suresh (50),

  • Siva kumar (53),

  • Vaidyanathan (48),

  • Jothiramalingam,

  • K. Ravichandran (all of them permanent workers),

  • Illango,

  • Selvakumar (23),

  • Selvaraj,

  • Shenkolai,

  • Jayaseelan (55),

  • Anandapadmanaban (50),

  • Manikandan,

  • Velmurugan,

  • Govindan (43),

  • Mohanraj (25),

  • Venkatesan (contractors)

Were severely damaged. Among them, Mohanraj is being treated at NLC General Hospital.

All of others have been sent to Apollo Hospital, Chennai.


Last Month:
 
On the 7th of the last may, 5 people were killed in  the 6th unit in the second Thermal Station. It is noteworthy that there is a fire in the NLC for the third time in the last two months. workers were involved in the struggle that they should not take out of the body of the dead. Furthermore, there is a contrast that the arguble between relatives and the police.
 
Following this, the central industrial security forces and Neyveli police have been heavily accumulated in the second analysis, Following this fire crash, Virgalam legislative Member Archiveman, NLC, Director Vikraman, Chair Ragesh kumar and Virtasalam Sir Registrar Pavangumar, are visiting the spot.
