19 MPs vacant in Rajya Sabha Election to be held today Rajya Sabha Election 2020
The Rajya Sabha Election, which were postponed due to the corona epidemic, are due to take place today.

Elections are being held for a total of 19 States from Andhra and Gujarat, 4 from Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, 2 from Jharkhand and one each from Mizoram, Meghalaya and Manipur. The result from 9 am to 4 pm, are to be announced at 5 pm.
In February, the Commission announced the election to fill 55 seat's in 17 state's. In March, 37 candidates were elected without contest in 10 states, including Tamil Nadu, the remaining 18 seats, which were due to be held last March, were postponed due to the corona curfew. In the meantime, the elections were announced in karnataka, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh. Of these MPs were elected without contest in other than Mizoram.
